DSAMn's The Group Live Performance

Have you heard of DSAMNā€™s performing arts troupe, ā€œThe Groupā€? They are a collective of self-directed and intergenerational theater-makers with Down syndrome, who have been creating live performances together since the summer of 2021. The Groupā€™s next event will be at Franconia Sculpture Park on September 24th at 4:00pm for Franconiaā€™s 26th Annual Art and Artists Celebration.

The Group has teamed up with Interact center to perform scenes based on visual art by the artists of Interact. This performance will feature musical numbers and dramatic events created by performers of The Group. At DSAMN, we believe strongly in performer-led creation that empowers people with Down syndrome to learn skills as artistic creators and collaborators. Please check out The Groupā€™s first widely publicized performance on the eve of DSAMNā€™s Step Up Minnesota!
