In this class, middle schoolers will be introduced to the basics of acting and performing arts. Through theater-games and story-creation, students will gain skills that benefit them inside and outside the classroom. Acting includes exploring emotions and playing pretend in a safe space. Possible benefits of this class are boosted confidence, skills in collaboration, and creative expression. The class will conclude with an informal showing of stories created by the students. The location for the class will alternate between the DSAMN conference room and office.
Adult (9th Grade through Adult)
Session 2: March 24th - May 26th (no class March 31st, April 21st)
Cost = $100 per session
Sundays 4:00 - 5:30PM
Session 3: June 9th - July 2st (no class July 7th)
Cost = $80 per session
Sundays 4:00 - 5:30PM
