Core Responsibilities: Provide ongoing support to families of young children ages 0-3 with Down syndrome and serving as a liaison to the Family Connector Program for those families; leading outreach to school-based Birth-2 Early Intervention teams.

Previous Experience: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Iowa State. Kassi is a licensed teacher in the state of Minnesota in the areas of Early Childhood Education (birth-grade ) and Early Childhood Special Education (birth-age 6). She has previously worked as an Early Childhood Special Education/Birth-2 Early Intervention Teacher in Minnesota school districts since 2011.

Personal Fun: Kassi is adopted from India. She has also spent a full 6 hours putting up a wallpaper mural by herself.

More info: Kassi is an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) educator with 11 years of home visiting experience providing family guided intervention to a wide range of culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse families based on their individual needs, priorities, and concerns. She does well with developing and maintaining positive relationships, has worked with families experiencing crisis, and has a commitment to supporting families within the community. She is deeply passionate about helping at-risk populations, furthering anti-racism work, understanding how mental health impacts caregivers and their children, and advocating for equitable care and programming for all children.
