In 2019, we stared an initiative to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and celebrate kindness. We’ve reached more than 100,000 students in classrooms across Minnesota and neighboring states with our World Down Syndrome Day classroom kits.

This World Down Syndrome Day, make it a day to show what can happen when children with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities are included in the school’s community.

This video was created by Kristin Yahnke, mom to 3 incredible kiddos…including one with an extra chromosome. With the help of Scott Regan (Director and Cinematographer), Ali Regan (Producer) and Trent Hilborn (Editor), students from Northfield Public Schools show us what happens when all students show up and say “you’re my friend”, “you belong.”
