Join us on Monday, August 21st at 7:00PM Central for Care and surveillance for infants, children and adolescents with Down syndrome with Sara Elsbecker, MS APRN CNP Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. This webinar is for families of pediatric patients and will include:
- Review of new guidance for care of children and adolescents with Down syndrome, published in May 2022.
- Review of what a Down Syndrome Clinic is and what a visit to Down Syndrome Clinic may look like.
- Review of when and/or how often a child should be seen in Down Syndrome Clinic.

About the Speaker
Sara Elsbecker is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and completed her PNP degree from the University of Minnesota, and was a trainee in the Center for Children with Special Health Care Needs, earning a graduate certificate in disability studies. She has been practicing at MHealth Fairview Masonic Childrenās Hospital in Pediatric Genetics/Metabolism for the last 13.5 years. A little over 3 years ago, she worked to re-establish the Down Syndrome Clinic at MHealth Fairview Masonic Childrenās Hospital in effort to be able to provide more comprehensive and complex care management for pediatric patients and families impacted by Down Syndrome.
